Act of Kindness

7 March @ 10:00 - 13:00

Explore the positive, constructive aspects of human behaviour. Join DIS students and explore the Kindness and how acts of kindness can create a positive impact on both the givers and receivers of these acts of kindness.

Would you like to participate in Acts of Kindness?
We are looking for 8 students who speak good English, of which at least 4 should also speak fluent Czech to participate in a positive psychology activity. Students from all schools are welcome!

You will join students who are visiting Prague from DIS (Study Abroad in Scandinavia) who are taking a course in Positive Psychology in Copenhagen, Denmark will be arriving in Prague.

They are all from American universities on a study abroad semester. In this course they explore the positive, constructive aspects of human behaviour and one of the topics they explore is Kindness and how acts of kindness can create a positive impact on both the givers and receivers of these acts of kindness.

What is the activity about?

For the activity in Prague, they would like to create 4 groups of 4 of their students and 2 of PCU students in each group. The groups will receive some money that they can use for an act of kindness anywhere in the city of Prague. All participants will get an introduction to the activity, will have time to plan their act of kindness and then go out into the city to carry out the activity. They will then come back and share their experiences and look at them in light of Positive Psychology theory and research.

For purposes of avoiding language based misunderstandings, we would like to have at least one student in each of the groups to be a good Czech speaker.

 Registrations are closed.
