Welcome Week

Welcome Week at Prague City University is your first chance to meet the PCU community (staff, lecturers and fellow students), to learn more about your programme and to become familiar with the university and also the city – if you have moved to Prague.

Orientation Day – 16th & 17th September
(You will be assigned one day)
Orientation Day is an important event to look forward to – it is your big welcome to Prague City University! This fun day allows you to meet the PCU students and staff, make new friends and learn more about the school and its surroundings.

Welcome Wednesday – 18th September
The Welcome Wednesday is tailored primarily for international students joining us at PCU. You will be able to get a taste of the Czech language and culture as well as to learn a few tips and tricks to help you get settled in Prague and Czech Republic.

Academic Programme Induction – 19th September

Your Academic Programme Induction provides you with detailed information about the courses you will be taking, the grading system, the expectations of your lecturers, and much more. This is also the time to meet your Programme Leader and fellow classmates!

PCU Welcome hike – 20th September

At the end of Welcome week, we invite you to join us for a hike to discover Czech nature and culture just outside of the city. This event will also be open to returning students, so you’ll also have the chance to speak and make friends with students who can help you integrate into the university and into life in Prague.

It’s highly recommended that all new students attend the Orientation Day and Academic Programme Induction, but we encourage you to do your best to join us for all of the Welcome Activities that are planned for the coming weeks!
