Visiting Artist & Lecture Series – Plato Ostrava

For a first VALS of this semester, students of MA Future Design and MA Fine Art will travel to Ostrava, to visit City Gallery of Contemporary Art PLATO for a guided tour with Marek Pokorný, the founder and director, giving us guided tour, speaking about the history of the building, the transformation from brownfield to gallery, about the program and curatorial strategy, current exhibition etc.

PLATO is new state gallery in the buildings of former slaughterhouse, reconstructed and redesigned for the use of modern gallery.

Itinerary:

• Meeting at 7:30am in front of Burger King (1st floor) at train station Praha Hlavní Nádraží = Praha hl.n.. (Metro C station Hlavní nádraží)
