With longer nights and the weight of assignments mounting, it’s important to take time out for activities that enrich the body, mind and soul. Prague College is committed to helping students through this challenging season, with a programme of free wellness events and activities. So read on to see what’s going on and find out how you can join, relax, socialise and balance out your week.
On occasion, the Fine Art programme open up their workshops for other students to join. On November 10 from 10 till 12pm all students are welcome to drop in and learn about colour studies, followed by a tutorial on how to make paintings of clouds. Jeremiah Paceleck will be working with oil paint in his own studio while students paint alongside him on zoom. Students who have oils are encouraged to use them, but any kind of paint will do. All you need is white paint plus any two colours (as well as other necessary painting supplies). Neli from Student Services is a qualified yoga instructor and invites students to two weekly yoga sessions every Tuesday and Thursday. The sessions are open to all yoga levels, including beginners, and doesn’t require anything except a yoga mat, comfortable clothes, an open mind and a bit of curiosity.
Classes on Wednesdays are student-only sessions and take place from 6.00 to 7.00pm.
Classes for lecturers and staff are on Tuesday morning, from 7.30 to 8.30 with a focus on gentle stretch and slow activation of the body, in preparation to enter the day and Thursday evening from 18:00 to 19:00 for improving strength and to help unwind after a working day.

Masa is our Programme Leader from Creative Media Production, and runs a student-only space with art and culture based activities designed to relax and support student’s wellbeing. Masa’s room runs every two weeks on Thursdays and is a safe place for students to relax, socialise and share good and bad moments from the past week, while participating in an activity. Masa’s upcoming workshops will be:
November 19 at 4pm with Zeina Kanawati, a graduate of the Creative Media Production programme, who will introduce the use of writing and storytelling for stress reduction and self-healing.
December 3 at 4pm with Filip Rosenkranc from Student Services who is a qualified meditation instructor with over 10 years meditation experience who will introduce students to mindfulness and meditation techniques.
December 17 at 4pm with Kristof Slussareff, a lecturer from Creative Media Production who will talk about Belief Systems and Identity.
