Intercultural Communication

In our increasingly globalised world, interacting with people from around the world is increasingly commonplace. However, the increase in contact and interactions has not led to greater understanding, merely more opportunities for confusion and mistakes. The prime culprit is our lack of consideration of communication and the influence which different cultures have on it. Therefore, in this talk, we will examine what are the main issues which lead to errors in our communication across cultures, look at the steps we should take when communicating with others, whether professionally or personally so that we can gain more positive outcomes.
