Occupy PCU, University Climate Strike

In the Czech Republic, November the 17th is for reminiscing about the events of the Velvet Revolution and to celebrate victories of freedom and democracy. However, in the present day, it is challenging to simply pay homage to the past.

To draw attention to problems of the present, many Czech universities are using this occasion to go on strike. And we, the students and staff of Prague City University, should join them.

On Tuesday the 15th of November, we will occupy the following PCU spaces; room 002, the student lounge, library and patio.

We will set up a reading group, play video games, share some plant-based snacks and organize creative plenary sessions where we will strive to present the possibilities of a just transformation of the state and the society. This will involve an open discussion on James Bridle’s thoughts on climate.
