Mr. Chelko will speak about his experience concerning the raising of finance for several organizations and the options available for companies when they require expansion or increases in working capital.
The areas of his work relate to the content of both the Business Decision Making and Managing Financial Resources units. Other members/students of Prague College are also invited.
Mr. Chelko received a dual degree International MBA in 1996 from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona (USA) and Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona (USA), and has over 11 years experience building and growing high tech companies as both a manager and investor, and over 7 years regional experience in Central and Eastern Europe. Mr. Chelko co-founded a national broadband cable TV company in Croatia, where he raised $12M in equity capital, acquired and integrated 4 companies, and managed over 300 employees as the Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Chelko also has over 7 years experience working in post-conflict environments and is currently splitting his time as a Business Development Consultant for a New York-based satellite communications company between Kabul, New York, Dubai, and Prague. Mr. Chelko is a US citizen and lives with his wife and 2 children in Prague.
