This will be an extra special occasion as it will be the very last event at PCU’s Polská campus, so come along and see this fantastic show and say goodbye to our founding campus.
Possession of a human body can be described as the experience of being the owner and inhabitant of a physical form. This experience is characterized by the ability to move, sense, and interact with
the world using our five senses, as well as by the wide range of emotions and sensations that we experience through our physical bodies. As the possessors of our own bodies, we are able to make
choices and decisions that shape our lives, and our bodies provide the means through which we can carry out those choices. In many ways, our physical bodies are an essential part of who we are as
individuals, and they play a central role in our experiences and interactions with the world.
‘Corpus’ is an attempt to display 6 artists’ personal connections and qualms with the human body. What can we create to better aid the body in creativity and identity forming? What would we benefit from recreating animalistic ritual in our own skin? How can communication about the body help us become better people?
What forms of awareness will the presentation of human decay bring us? How technology could change body movement in the near future? Why are we so apathetically obsessed with the concept of owning a body?
