Film Screening at Bio Oko
On Wednesday 9 June from 17:00 till 21:30 (6pm screening), final year Creative Media Production students bring you the FIRST Prague College Cinema Night in the history of the lockdown!
Debuting our short films and podcast series is not the only thing that makes this evening particularly special. We have shaped and worked on our projects for a whole year while facing the difficulties of being confined in our apartments.
This experience is analogous to Plato’s famous cave thought experiment. For a year and a half, our learning experience was limited to online through our devices without human contact, as mere shadows on the wall. Many of us had to cover multiple roles of the production process and do the entire project on our own as we learnt new things about ourselves that we didn’t even know.
This event will reflect on us breaking the chain, coming out of our dark caves into the sunlight for the first time to come together, have become anew intellectually, and celebrate the fruition of a long and challenging period.
You’ll hear and see some exciting projects of drama, horror and documentary films as well as some podcast series reflecting on important issues of today’s world.
