The walk includes excellent examples of baroque architecture from the Nostic Palace of 1660 and the statue of John the Baptist by Ferdinand Brokoff (1715) to the great Cathedral of St Nicholas (1679 to 1751, Dientzenhoffer pater et filius.
We will also look at the church of Saint Thomas (Kilian Dientzenhoffer) and the statues of the Charles Bridge, erected in the early 1700s after the Catholic victory of 1648. We will also look at the façade of the Carlo Lurago masterpiece, the Church of the Holy Saviour (Salvator) before walking, via the Baroque Jesuit college (Klementinum) to the end point – the newly-restored Clam-Gallas Palace on Husova.
